Where to meet your ride at LAX

Uber and Lyft pickup: Uber, Lyft and taxis pick up at the LAX-it lot beside Terminal 1, not at the terminal curb. Walk there following the LAX-it signs, or board the free LAX-it shuttle at the green signs on the Lower/Arrivals level inner curb outside baggage claim.
Black and premium rides: Uber Black, Uber Black SUV and Lyft's black-car tiers still pick up at the terminals, on the outer island curb of the Lower/Arrivals level, so they skip LAX-it.
Dropoff: Directly at your terminal on the Upper/Departures level.
Taxis: Taxis load at LAX-it, with a limited number inside Parking Structure 3 (between Tom Bradley and Terminal 3) and at the far end of Terminal 7 outside baggage claim. Fares are metered; flat-fare or surcharge details not found.
Self-driving rides: None as of October 2026
Train or bus: FlyAway buses run nonstop to Union Station and Van Nuys for $12.75 one way; a free shuttle from the pink LAX Shuttles stops reaches the LAX/Metro Transit Center for Metro C and K line trains.

From Terminals 1 and 7 the walk to LAX-it is 3-8 minutes and often beats the shuttle; from Terminals 4 and 5 it is about 19 minutes, so take the shuttle.
Booking Uber Black or a Lyft black-car tier gets you a terminal-curb pickup instead of LAX-it.
Airport fees are $4 each way today but are approved to rise to $6 (Ground Transport Center) or $12 (terminal curb) once SkyLink opens.

Airport fees at LAX
