Black and premium rides
Uber Black/Black SUV and Lyft Black/Black SUV pick up on the domestic Arrivals level: Terminal 1 Doors 7-8, Terminal 2 Doors 4-5, Terminal 3 between United blue signs 8 and 10. International pickups use the same Departures-level center island as other rides.
Dropoff
Curbside on the Departures level; the airport suggests asking for an Arrivals-level or garage drop-off at busy times.
Taxis
Taxi zones are on the roadway center islands of the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level at every terminal. Fares are metered and include a $6.00 SFO exit surcharge; trips 15+ miles beyond the city or airport limits cost 150% of the meter.
Self-driving rides
Waymo: pickups and drop-offs outside the Rental Car Center (about 15 minutes by AirTrain) or at the Grand Hyatt at SFO, currently for selected riders under the airport's pilot. News reports say Tesla's human-driven ride-hail also holds an SFO limousine permit (secondary).
Train or bus
BART runs from the station at the International Terminal (free AirTrain from other terminals) to downtown San Francisco in about 30 minutes; fares are distance-based and were not listed on the pages read.
Domestic arrivals: ride the elevator to garage Level 5 before requesting, since standard Uber and Lyft cannot pick up at the Arrivals curb.
International arrivals go up to the Departures level; pickup is on the center island, zones 12-17.
A Waymo means an AirTrain ride to the Rental Car Center first, and access is still limited to selected riders.
