Taxis: Outer commercial curb at Terminal A on the lower level; look for the ground transportation agent in a red shirt. Fares to downtown run about $24-$29 per cab.
Self-driving rides: Waymo serves SAT (since March 31, 2026): pickups and drop-offs curbside at Departures for Terminals A and B, and at the Arrivals outer curb near Rideshare Zone 2. Waymo is still adding San Antonio riders gradually.
Train or bus: VIA bus Route 5 reaches downtown in about 30 minutes for $1.30; the stop is at the far west end of Terminal B on the lower-level outer curb.

From Terminal B, allow a short walk along the lower level to the Terminal A outer curb.
The airport ride fee doubles to $5.00 on November 1, 2026.
VIA Route 5 to downtown is $1.30, or $2.75 for a day pass.
